ABOUT – An essential oil is a concentrated, hydrophobic liquid containing volatile aroma compounds from raw plants. Raw plant material, consisting of the flowers, leaves, wood, bark, roots, seeds, or peel, the plant material is put into an alembic (distillation apparatus) over water. As the water is heated the steam passes through the plant material, vaporizing the volatile compounds. The vapors flow through a coil where they condense back to liquid, which is then collected in the receiving vessel, the end products is a concentrated oil of the plant.

USE -Essential oil in aromatherapy is a form of alternative medicine, in which healing effects are ascribed to the aromatic compounds in essential oils and other plant extracts. Many essential oils  have antiseptic properties and others an uplifting effect on the mind. Essential oils are used extensively for healing by blending with fatty carrier oils, some common fatty carrier oils include olive, almond, hazelnut, jojoba, kukui, tuamanu, takamaka and grapeseed oils.

These are just some of the many elements used in the Evolution Surf Skincare Product Line, P.O.Box 494, Del Mar CA 92014, Telephone 858-775-6822
